Carl Eugene Graf of Port Orchard Dec. 30, 1938 to Feb. 12, 2011 Veteran Carl Eugene Graf "Pete," 72, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, left this earth at St. Anthony's Hospital in Gig Harbor on February 12, 2011 after a sudden illness. Pete was born December 30, 1938 in Altoona, PA to Carl Emil and Anna K. Graf. Pete retired from the United States Navy in 1985 and from Federal Civil Service in 1998. Pete was a kind-hearted and honest person who enjoyed his family and being a grandfather. Pete spent his final years at the Stafford Suites community in Port Orchard, a place he called home and really loved. Pete is preceded in death by his loving wife Margaret Grace Graf. He is survived by brother Kenneth of Altoona, PA, brother Robert and Karen of Bellevue, WA, son Carl and Cheryl of Gig Harbor, WA, step-daughter Cathy Hayes, granddaughter Mary and Steven Ransier, granddaughters Miranda Matson-Graf, Madelynn Graf, and Hallee Graf. A military service and celebration of Pete's life will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011 starting at 10 a.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery.
