Cynthia Ann (Jarmon) Mcintosh Obituary (1955

Cynthia Ann Jarmon McIntosh Cynthia McIntosh, 60, passed away peacefully at home in Gig Harbor, surrounded by her family, July 21, 2016, after a 4-month battle against pancreatic cancer. She grew up in University Place, WA, and graduated from Curtis High School. She was a 1977 graduate of Washington State University and remained an avid Cougar all her life! Cynthia was a teacher and retired after 33 years, with 28 of those years at Discovery Elementary. Her family and faith were an important part of her life, and she regularly attended Harbor Christian Center. She lived a full life as an incredible wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, and teacher. She loved people and brought joy and laughter everywhere she went. She enjoyed walking, golfing, reading, sunsets, supporting her children in all their activities, and a good glass of wine with her girl friends. She impacted so many lives in our community; we are forever grateful for her and will miss her dearly. Cynthia is survived by her husband of 32 years, Lyle; daughter, Monica Bannister; son, Geoffrey; son-in-law, Cory Bannister; parents, William Sr. and Leslie Jarmon; brother, William Jarmon Jr.; and sisters, Judy Mahlstedt, Karen Jarmon, and Sally Blowers. Cynthia's Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2:00pm, at Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church, followed by a celebration reception at Gig Harbor Boys & Girls Club.
