Elisabeth Maria Watson
Elisabeth Maria Watson entered into eternal peace with her beloved son Dan at her side on December 9th, 2022 at Madigan Army Base in Fort Lewis, WA. She was born on November 5th, 1954 to Margareta and Andreas Kohler at Hedwigsklinik.
Elisabeth or "Lissy" grew up in Mannheim, Germany with her parents and siblings. Elisabeth married in 1974 while still living in Germany but moved to America shortly after and joined the army at a young age. This is where she began her career in healthcare as an OR Tech in San Antonio, TX. She later became an RN graduating with honors 4.0 gpa. She eventually retired from the Army and continued as a nurse with the same hospital she worked in for all of her life's career and where she eventually had her last day.
Elisabeth was the matriarch of the Watson family. She was our rock and greatest supporter who always was there for her family and friends with unconditional love and compassion no matter the cost. Her friends remember her as such a kind and considerate, and a happy person who enjoyed many retreats with friends doing arts and crafts and spending quality time together.
Elisabeth will always be remembered as a loving and caring mother, Oma, sister, friend, and aunt. Her generosity and giving heart will live on her children, grand and great children alike.
She will be remembered especially for her strong work ethic and deep love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She loved to crochet items for loved ones, she enjoyed reading, and spending time with her family. She also loved the ocean and spending time along the beach each year to relax and enjoy time with her boys, their wives, and children.
Elisabeth is predeceased by her father and mother, Margareta and Andreas Kohler, and her brother Winfried Kohler and her very good friend Colleen Harper.
She is survived by her children Daniel and Stephanie Watson, Michael Watson, Stefan and Mary Watson, her siblings Theresa and Heinrich Berg, Rolf Kohler, Margarete Kohler-Findeisen, and Ursula Tobisch and her nieces and nephews.
She also leaves behind precious grandchildren who brought her such joy Kathrin, Seth, Colin, Annika, Lita and great-grandchildren Mikael, Aubrey, and Callie.
Our mother/Oma/sister will be greatly missed beyond any words can say or express. She will be forever remembered and always missed.
Dan, Stefan, and Mikey thank you all for joining us in celebration of our mother's life and the precious memories she left us all. Please join us at Haven of Rest Funeral Home in Gig Harbor, WA on 12/20/22 @ 2pm for a viewing and service to honor Elisabeth.
