Elnor King

Elnor Mae (Ellie) King passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 84. Elnor was born on May 11, 1942, in Minneapolis, MN, to Edward and Esther Hedtke.

Ellie was a beautiful person, so thoughtful, generous and had a great sense of humor and the most wonderful smile. She loved her family and her friends dearly and everyone loved her.

In her spare time, she loved watching the birds at her feeders, especially the hummingbirds. Her talents included knitting, sewing, embroidery, crocheting, baking, cooking, canning and gardening. She liked all kinds of music, dancing, reading and camping.

She loved animals, especially her cats Tinker and Bell.

Wednesday afternoons, she hosted a knitting club which also included arts and crafts in her home, donating items to charity and giving to family and friends.
Ellie worked in the Treasures and Probate Offices at the Kitsap County Courthouse until retirement in 1977.

Elnor is survived by her daughter Brenda, son Willy, grandsons Mitchell and TJ. Nephew Sam Culver, Son-in-Law Curt.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Edward and Esther Hedtke; Spouse, George King; and sister, Myrtle Culver.
