Franklin Dale Krause

Franklin was born in Crucible, Pennsylvania on February 9, 1931 and passed away on May 7, 2015 in Gig Harbor, Washington. He spent most of his career in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer in various locations such as Korea, Austria, Germany, and finally in Tacoma with Fort Lewis where he retired after serving just over 20 years.

During his retirement he was a greeter at the Port Orchard Walmart near his residence with his wife of 43 years Barbara Krause who survives him. He loved to tinker with cars. He is also survived by his son Franklin Dale Krause, Jr and wife Victoria of Gig Harbor; step-children Robert Jones and wife Jan of Samish Island; Rebecca Gerla and husband Tom of Gig Harbor; Kristen Jones of Medford, Oregon; grandchildren Franklin N Krause, Brenden, Beth, Bryan, and Gigi Jones; Joshua Kilgus and wife Janis; and Sean Kilgus. Also survived by many great grandchildren and sisters Gloria and Bill of Crucible Pennsylvania; Shirley and husband Sam Wise of Florida; Brothers Jim Krause and wife Florence and Richard Krause and wife Joyce all of Pennsylvania.

Franklin was remembered at a memorial service at Haven of Rest Funeral Home in the chapel and in the Memorial Park where he was buried with military honors. Please sign his guest book leaving your favorite memories and condolences for the family.
