Jane Van Slyke

Born in 1921 in Havre Montana, one of 6 children, Jane passed away at age 91 on January 5, 2013. She moved with her family to Vaughn in 1925. In 1941, Jane married Harmon VanSlyke; together they raised their 3 children in Vaughn and Victor. They enjoyed square dancing and traveling to many countries in their retirement years. Jane owned a ceramic business, was Gray Back of the Penn Ants Cootiette Club, and loved Tuesday lunches with her sisters. Knitting, playing Bingo, bus trips, and spending time with friends and family were a huge part of her life. She loved her family and friends deeply and shared her home with anyone who wanted to stop by. She is survived by her 2 sons, Tom (Ursula), and Dale (Diann); son-in-law Art; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harmon; daughter Carmon; and grandson Jon. Jane is loved by many and will be truly missed.
