Jan McNeal

Janice(Jan) M. McNeal, born March 10, 1950, Portland, Or., to her wonderful parents, Edwin & Marguerite Hallwyler.

She has four siblings: Sue, Jean(deceased),Jim, and Laurie.

Also four children: Todd, Ryan, Eren, and Heather.

Family was always incredibly important to mama McNeal. She is so proud of her children. And loves them with the kind of love only a mother understands.

Married: Delbert (Del) McNeal 1971.

Jan graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a major in education and music.

Jan became a nurse later in life. She helped countless people navigate their medical issues from not only her medical knowledge--but also from a heart of compassion, empathy, and encouragement.

Jan just genuinely loves people. That comes from her incredible love for Jesus!

Over the years, she had many opportunities to share a Bible study she wrote on the 23rd Psalm; highlighting what it means that the Lord is our Shepherd.

During her battle with cancer, she saw the doctors, nurses, and aids as her mission field. Even though she struggled through seemingly endless difficult treatments over the last twelve years, SHE sought to encourage THEM in whatever difficult situations THEY endured. She was truly an example of choosing JOY during trials; all to glorify God and introduce others to Him.

Again, Jan loves her Heavenly Father with all of her heart; and we know she is in his presence today.
