Janice Ludwig North
August 7, 1927 - December 29, 2023

Tacoma, Washington - Janice Ludwig North went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 29, 2023.
Janice was born at Tacoma General Hospital on August 7, 1927. Her parents, Fred and Marie Ludwig, were owners of Ludwig Pharmacy and as such she and her family were very involved in the South Tacoma community. Janice attended Annie Wright Seminary and graduated from Lincoln High School. She attended the then College of Puget Sound and joined Pi Beta Phi and Sigma Alpha Iota. Janice graduated from CPS in 1949 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music with emphasis on harp performance. Janice married Richard(Dick) North from West Seattle in 1950.
Dick and Janice were the owners of North Pharmacy at 602 S. "K" St.(MLK). They raised two children, Jan Winskill(John) and Rick(Kathleen). She was the loving grandmother to four grandchildren; Christopher Winskill, Erik North(Whitney), Matthew Winskill and Kelly North. Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; her parents, Fred and Marie Ludwig; her brother David Ludwig and grandson, Christopher Winskill. Janice was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Tacoma, the Junior League and PEO. Dr. David Lundberg was a dear friend in later life.
Janice will be remembered as an elegant and very gracious lady. She surrounded her family with prayer and encouragement and didn't hesitate to share her faith with others. Janice is now rejoicing with her Savior and loved ones in heaven.
