Gig Harbor, Washington
Joyce Irene Heller was born on August 10, 1934 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa to Thelma and Lloyd Heller. She was an identical twin to her sister Judith Ann Heller. Joyce passed away on December 4th, 2020 in her nursing home where she was exposed to COVID 19.
Joyce married young to Irvin Daniels who she had her 3 children with. Joyce and Irvin left Iowa and moved to Los Angeles in the mid 1950's. Their marriage ended in the early 1960's.
She has left behind her two Daughters Deborah Southworth and Jacqueline Taylor. Sadly, her son Scott Daniels passed away July 3rd, 2019 from pancreatic cancer far too young. Joyce is also survived by her sisters' Jeanne Myer and Judith Quinn (her identical twin). Her brothers Richard Heller and James Heller passed away many years before.
Joyce was a charismatic woman who was strikingly beautiful with an extraordinary sense of humor and impeccable taste. She was employed as an accounts payable agent for many years in the airline industry but retired when she and her husband Terry O'Brien, (who she was married to for nearly 40 years till
His death from heart disease), decided to move to Gig Harbor from Los Angeles in 1995 where they spent their remaining years on earth. As Joyce aged, she was burdened with Lewy Body Dementia that ultimately led her to living in an assisted living nursing home.
She was always loved by her family near and far and her untimely and very lonely departure due to Covid 19 has left them all with a broken heart and great sadness.
We believe she has reunited with her son Scott and her beloved husband Terry and many others in heaven. This gives us all some peace of mind.
May she stay in our memories and Rest In Peace, shining her eternal love down upon us all.
We will all Love you forever.
