Kathleen Myhre

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011. Kathleen Myhre was born in Shoshoni, WY on June 24, 1922 to Laura and Lawrence Parrish. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Pauline and her son, Lawrence. She is survived by her husband, Glenn Myhre of 65 years; her son, Charles (Tami); four grandchildren, Craig Myhre and Linsay Bates (Jared), Paul and Lisa Myhre; and three great grandchildren, Carson, Kayia and Chloe Bates. Following school she moved to San Diego where she met the love of her life, Glenn. They were married in Tacoma on April 12, 1946 and lived there happily raising their family. Among her many hobbies she loved knitting, cooking, fishing and camping, traveling, rock hounding, helping others and studying God's Word. There will be a family committal service at Haven of Rest in Gig Harbor on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 11:00. Please join us for a Celebration of Life Service at First Presbyterian Church in Tacoma on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 2:30. Remembrances may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Tacoma or Franciscan Hospice.
