Loreen Beal

–

Gig Harbor, WA

Lori Kay Beal, born August 19, 1952 in Tacoma, passed away at home on February 11, 2010, after a long brave courageous fight against cancer. Lori graduated from Peninsula High School where she met the love of her life, Dean. She worked at Peninsula State Bank/Puget Sound Bank/Key Bank for many years and became a well known face throughout the community. Some of her greatest joys in life came from being a Mother and a Grammy. She loved long walks on the beach, whale watching and making endless memories with her grandkids, nieces and nephews. Her laughter, sense of humor and gracious heart will forever be missed by all that knew her. In 2000 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Through her perseverance and determination she was able to win her first battle with cancer. Her greatest battle would come in March of 2009 when the cancer came back. Despite the knowledge that this time the cancer was terminal she never gave up the will or strength to fight back. She had an endless amount of bravery and spirit trying to live life to the fullest. Her last moments were peaceful as she was surrounded by family. She is gone but not forgotten and will live on in our hearts and memories. She will always be the heart beat in our family and deeply missed. Lori was born to be a mother and she gave me two wonderful children, Lori and I were High school sweethearts, I was never alone after that, she was and will always be with me, where ever I happened to be, she is sitting here with me right now, I Love you Lori. She survived by her husband of 38 years, Dean Beal; son, Marc (Amy) Beal; daughter Michele (Bobby) Beal-Erwin; grandchildren: Johnathan, Olivia and Hunter; Parents, Kenneth and Betty Jorgenson; Mother-in-law Betty Beal, sister Diana (Butch) Graves; and brothers, Thair (Pat) and Verne (Dianne) Jorgenson, Dean's brothers Michael (Cathy), Bruce (Lorrie), Scott, Cecil (Wendi) and countless Aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. We are thankful for all of the love and support that was extended to us by all during this challenging time. We are so grateful for everyone that blessed her life. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 20 at Haven of Rest in Gig Harbor.
