Maecenas Mack Hendrix Obituary (1946

Maecenas (Mack) Benton Hendrix III, 67, passed away in his home in Lakebay WA on August 7th, with his wife and son by his side. Mack has been a resident of Lakebay for 9 years, working as an orthopedic surgeon in Tacoma. Before Washington, Mack and his family lived for 20 years in Columbus, GA. Mack grew up and attended college in Mississippi, and served in the Navy, Army, and Air Force. He faithfully served his family, friends, and patients all of his life, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Mack is survived by his wife of 32 years, Laurie, his six children; Jennifer, Hannah, Sarah, Paul, Mack, and Benton; and ten grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 on Thursday, August 15th at Haven of Rest Chapel, Gig Harbor. Memorial Donations can be made to Mercy Ships, a medical mission organization, www.mercyships.org.
