Margaret Tornquist

Margaret Ann Tornquist was born February 20, 1948 the daughter of Allen and Jeanette Nichols of Key Center, WA. Margaret lived in the Key Peninsula area and graduated from Peninsula High School in 1966.
She went on to attend the 3 Washington State Colleges plus Olympic Jr. College eventually graduating with an Art Degree from Central Washington in 1970. She met her future husband Bruce Tornquist as a Sophomore and married him between their Junior and Senior years. Margaret passed just weeks after their 57th Anniversary.
She was the mother of 2 sons: Jon (Jessica) Tornquist, Brent (Lori) Tornquist. Grandmother to Jon and Jessica’s children: Lauren Boatright, Erin Tornquist (previously deceased), and Vaughn Tornquist plus Brent and Lori’s children: Erick Tornquist and Ethan Tornquist. She is the Great Grandmother of Remy and Crew Boatright. All of her grandkids have either earned or are on track to earn their college degrees.
She was the Floral Designer for Wall Flower Gift and Flowers on Vashon Island, Cranes Creations in Steilacoom, Ambrosia Florist Tacoma’s North End and Brown’s Florist in Tacoma. All in all she spent about 50 years being part of 10’s of thousands of customers’ best and worst days. Flowers have been the center stones of her life and home.
Her family and friends have a huge hole in our hearts. She will be remembered with smiles and love.
