Ruth Saathoff

Ruth A. Saathoff, 72 of Gig Harbor passed away June 21, 2013 after an extended battle with cancer. She was a lifelong nurse and nurse educator, an avid baseball fan and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Arlyn of Gig Harbor; her three sons and daughter in laws; Tom & Jennifer of Ridgefield, WA; Jeff & Sandy of Sammamish, WA; Bob and Kris of Philomath, OR; and her eight grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be Friday, June 28 at 2:00 pm at St, Mark's Lutheran Church, by the Narrows, 6730 N. 17th Street, Tacoma, WA. She was proud of the Parish Nurse Program she started at her church and requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mark's Lutheran Church by the Marrows in Tacoma, WA for the Parish Nursing Program.
