William Bill Andrea

Bill was born in Tacoma, Washington on June 27, 1937. He went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2012, surrounded by loving family. As a lifetime Gig Harbor resident, Bill graduated from Peninsula High School in 1954 and joined the Navy right out of high school. He served 21 years with 2 tours in Vietnam. He retired in 1975 as a Lt, Supply Corp Officer, USN. He worked on many contracts at Bangor and was the manager of the computer division. He spent 10 years with the Tacoma School District as the Director of Management Information Systems and then went back to Navy contracts as Manager of Stock Control and then Purchasing Manager in Diego Garcia. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 51 years, Rogean; children Annette (Blane) Crawford, Tony (Mandy) Andrea, Karen (Glenn) Swayze, Renee (Mike) Freeland; grandchildren Brett, Brad, Alex, Michael, Allen, Sam, Canon, and Shea. A Funeral Service with full military honors will be held at Haven of Rest Chapel on Monday, July 23rd at 11:00 a.m. Remembrances may be made to the Tacoma Elks Lodge #174 or the American Cancer Society.
